left hand use in egg's scene

left hand use in egg's scene
Before tounching egg, Eli start to show the egg with left hand and after she use the right hand, has a reason for that ?
Re: left hand use in egg's scene
I wonder if that is a slight goof, that Lina suddenly remembered that she should use her right hand. IIRC there is a slight smile that could indicate that. Must check if she is left handed.

I always thought it was just a goof that TA decided to go ahead and use.

Keep the shot with the goof, rather than reshooting it.Cha wrote:use fot what ?

I think it might be a "goof", yet I'm glad it's there. It really annoys me when everything happens "too perfectly" in films.
But it's possible there could just have been things in the way, it would be easier to use your right hand if you look at the next shot.

Yes, I believe it is a goof.
When Eli points to the egg, Oskar is standing to her left. When she points at the egg with her left hand she is putting a barrier up between herself and Oskar ... her arm. It is a question of unconscious body language. The biggest reason I can think of, is as Drakkar ponders, is Lina left handed? It is easy to accept that this might have been the seventh, eighth, or ninth take of this scene. It is also easy to see that Lina made a mistake, and that she recognises it as such, by the little smile she gives before she uses her other hand. The scenario going around in my head is that Lina made that 'mistake' initially and was corrected by Tomas, who would have been very aware of body language and its effect on a scene. A few shots later she does this again and then remembers that she should have used he right hand and so corrects this, but not before a little self conscious smile at her mistake.
So, is Lina left handed?
There is a trailer for 'The Arbiter' where she and Lee Ingleby make a toast to something or other, Lina uses her left hand...

Not conclusive I know, but maybe Lina is not only a vampire but she is also a witch

She uses her left hand to touch Håkan's face after he asks her to 'not see that boy', to stroke the back of Oskar's hand in the Slå tillbaka. Hårt. / Hit back. Hard scene as well as at the beginning of the scene where Oskar follows her hand movements through the glass door.
Unfortunately she holds the Rubik's cube and pulls Oskar from the pool with her right hand, so it's still inconclusive.

She was also holding the mic in her right hand at the panel for the Russian Klubkrik Horror Awards, as well. Maybe she's ambidextrous?
