Of course!

Do I get to come over and help open the box when it arrives? :D
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ... no.

I said 'friends', not conjoined twins, lol.

I haven't read your short story until now (wrong language  ). I understand very well why you won the competition, so simple and yet so complex. The story is moving right up at the level of the real thing, together with N.R.Gasan's Love's Epitaph (where it sort of fills out some gaps, btw :) ). Thanks for the story!

And thank you for reading it (English is the right language  ). Maybe in a few years I'll be able to translate it into Swedish ... maybe. Hmm I wonder what Google Translate would do to it

I'll have to re-read Love's Epitaph, I enjoyed it a lot the first time.

I would too!!

Oh Jameron - fantastic. First to have written such a compelling entry ( I read it again this evening ) , then to win, and now to have John write here as well... I might never recover.

Congrats congrats congrats to you! You MUST post pics when the books arrive. Or even if you have to go get them... Yeh.
I most definitely will post pics, and thank you for reading it again!
Jameron, Have you received your booty yet?
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

No, not yet :(

I had an email from Quercus on 11th Oct asking for my home address so they could send the books to me, but still no books have arrived.

I am on the verge of emailing them back and asking if everything is going to plan, as I am once again starting to think that it has all gone wrong somewhere and I will end up without the books.

Thanks for asking :)

And of course, John wrote something inside the books *squee*

In order of publication...

Let The Right One In.

The quote is
  • "Oskar såg för några sekunder genom Elis ögon. Och det han såv var ... sig själv. Bara så mycket finare, vackrare, starkare än vad han själv tyckte att han van. Sedd med kärlek. Några sekunder"
Which in English is
  • "For a few seconds Oskar saw through Eli’s eyes. And what he saw was … himself. Only much better, more handsome, stronger than what he thought of himself. Seen with love. For a few seconds."
One of my favourite passages from the book.

Not sure why there two signatures and two dates almost a year apart

"Stay Infected" ^_^

.

I want to read the epilogue to Let The Right One In all in one go, but I'm too tired tonight to do it justice so I will read it this weekend, when I have plenty of time. Two more days waiting is nothing compared to the many months we have been waiting for the English edition  *anticipation*

So for now, no spoilers please (I also need to read Little Star, so be careful).

*hugs*

PS. There was no Kindle delvered with these books, I will have to contact Quercus again.

Amazing :D .

How easy would it have been for John to just sign them, but he wrote you loads. You must be chuffed to bits.

I like how stay infected comes before stay alive. All of it is just super cool. You must be buzzing.

Most breathtaking quote I've ever read in any book ever.
