I been watching Game of Thrones on HBO, and I can't help but think how this little girl would've made a great Eli. She's got that boyish/tomboy look down, but still very much a girl.
Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)

Your pics ain't working so I've taken the liberty to post others.
In the Lina look-alike stakes, she's a clear winner. Notwithstanding film Lina didn't look much like novel Eli.
Edit - rude of me not to welcome a new crew member aboard.... so welcome. Strap yourself in for a bumpy ride.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, it'll change your life....I think that's what they say.

I love Game of Thrones, and while agree Maisie Williams would probably make a good Eli (maybe even a great Eli), I can't help feeling it would be pointless to attempt. Why would anyone settle for good or great when they have perfect?
Oh what has LTROI done to me? My standards have sky-rocketed, the great actors and films are now merely good, and the good are now just OK...

@Makalli
I agree.
Overall, I think choosing another Eli would be difficult, but if it had to be done then the process should be the same as the 1st one. Go through hundreds of kids, and not just choose for looks but the aura of the actor/actress and what they will bring to the role like Lina did.

I would love to go back to the 1930's and remake LTROI with Shirley Temple as Eli and Jackie Cooper as Oskar. Connie, Martin and Andreas would be played by Alfalfa, Spanky and Buckwheat.

Choosing another actress to play Eli would be sacrilegious!!
(But yep, Johnny Depp is just a perfect choice...

Noomi Rapace came to mind after I read she began her career as a child actress. Even now, the adult Noomi would make a great vampire. There is something odd and feral about her appearance, even when she is not playing Lisbeth Salander.
I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

Noomi Rapace would be a lousy choice for an Eli-like vampire because I could never forget she's... um... a very lovely young lady. You'd be hard-pressed to bury her under tattoos, facial shrapnel and loose-fitting clothing to make anybody forget that fact for more than a few seconds, and Eli's plight is largely irrespective of any kind of gender-related issue at its core.
