LTROI to the people!

Post by intrige » Sat May 28, 2011 7:44 pm

This might seem a bit off topic for a little while. But here it goes, I'll get on topic :D

I am sick right now, fever and sleepy and tired and exosted and the whole deal. I have been relaxing and sleeping and not transelating. I am so sorry for that, I feel bad not doing so. It is not that much effort when it comes to the energy use of it. But still. Also I haven't been on much in a week, I have been so tired. My mom told me to just go to bed.
"But Moom, it's soo boring. I just wanna make myself some popcorn first" :D Yum. But I will tell you though, That part 9 is a funny treat. ;)

I am going to school on Monday even though I am as sick as.. Hell? Cause guess what I have done. I am going to tell you guys my genius plan  One school year ago, in one of my classes. My awsome teacher told us that the last few weeks of the school year (where we are done with the schoolbook) we can choose any subjict without any grade. Just for fun, and the interest of it. And the teacher asked us about bullying, I convinced them almost, that we should do that. And most of us said yes. I thought about, ofcoruse to show my class LTROI: It is a topic that fits, you know. For bullying, and how a child can be violent inside, because of it. Back then I was newly infected, only for almost two months. I wasn't even a member here, I read Pete and ACL's Fan-Fictions in class so much that my teacher had to have a "chat" with me about it. And my "Plan" of showing my class this movie have been in the back of my head in the whole school year.

And now, the time has come. We all still agreed to have about bullying, and I stood before the class and spoke about different types of bullying. How to prevent them, how to see it, And what to do about it. Since I am the expert in my class, I have noticed. About it. I also said that I have been bullied, and it's hell. So never do it to somebody else.

I talked to my teacher about the movie, since she asked the class about if we knew any on topic movies. "Perfect!" I thought. My hand flew up in an instent and she said: Yes?
"La den rette komme inn." I said. She asked me to repeat it. Somehow it felt so personal, cause it is.. my infection!
"La den rette komme inn!" She probebly wasn't suprised thought, And we went down to the school library to take a look at the movie. It was inside of there. :D Both the movie and the book, what a library! She red the behind and agreed, I told her a bit about it. And she also asked me if I had seen it many times. I said: Oh yes!!
So, on Monday we are going to see it. All 15 of us, pluss my teacher. I will not miss their facial expressions! Not for anything in the world, I can be dead sick, and still go! One firiend of mine, who I showed the movie to last summer, did not have anything agains seing it again, eiter :D This, my dear friends, will be freaking awsome. And I will be so proud of myself to manige to bring this movie to my class. :D

I will start transelating when I can, and the next part will be up :D Have a nice weekend everybody!

That sounds like fun, you know, I originally saw LTROI with my class :D . Sadly only I was infected :( . I am eternally grateful for my old swedish teacher for introducing me to this story.

You were sick you said. Do you know what I do when I am sick? I always watch two movies. One is obviously LTROI :D . The other is 1408, which I consider a great psychological horror movie, not that I be sure since I have only ever watched that movie whilst having a fever ;) .

I hope you get well soon.

Using the institution of school as a tool to force people to watch you favourite movie.
Isn't that borderline evil?

Well, I will pass that honor to my class :D I don't really think that I will infect them. But I want them to see the movie anyway, because it means a lot to me to see how they react. It's very interesting.

You can never be entirely sure ;) There is a chance they might be infected, with your flu at least  .

oh wow

I think the scene where Hakan tries to get blood for Eli for the first time will be the first stress test for your class.
I wanna watch their faces

You should be proud of yourself. Especially for sticking to it and convincing your teacher that it's worth watching. Your enthusiasm must have been contageous.

A captive audience of 15! They can't get up and leave, even if they're bored. And you, as the expert on all things LTROI will be able to guide them through it properly! Good luck and have fun! Be sure to tell us all how it went. Perhaps you could bring a video camera, aim it at your class, and post the results here. :D

P.S. I hope you're feeling better by Monday.
