Even though I don't feel as warmly to LMI as I do to LTROI, well I'm still gonna buy it...I think it could be kind of neat to go through and maybe analyse the two together.

I'll probably end up buying it when it gets released here in Australia...it can sit next to my 3 different copies of LTROI

Three different copies? I'm assuming two of those have the commentary tracks on them right? The version I own doesn't have the commentary track on it at all.danielma wrote:I'll probably end up buying it when it gets released here in Australia...it can sit next to my 3 different copies of LTROI

I am sort of annoyed that my love for Låt den rätte komma in and my extreme familiarity with it kept me from enjoying Let Me In as I should have the two times that I saw it in a theater. I definitely had planned on buying Let Me In immediately, but I may be unemployed by then. I may have to just content myself with my three copies of Låt den rätte komma in.
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

First Copy: Original American Release (the one with the crappy Subs...I keep it around though because well why not)
Second Copy: Swedish Blu Ray/DVD Combo (Sold on Ebay recently though)
Third Copy: Let the Right One In UK Blu Ray (the one with the audio commentary track)
Fourth Copy: The new cover version...the UK Blu Ray that was re released just before LMI's UK release...the one that was supposed to have all those cool new extras but ended up having Squat on it.
Sad thing is, if Criterion were to ever release a new version with New features...well I would totally have 4 copies of it
Re: One More Month
I'm sorry to hear about you being unemployed. I'm also sorry about the fact that your familiarity with Let the Right One In kept you from enjoying Let Me In. Heck, if it weren't for Let Me In, I wouldn't be here right now talking about the world of Oskar and Eli.Wolfchild wrote:I am sort of annoyed that my love for Låt den rätte komma in and my extreme familiarity with it kept me from enjoying Let Me In as I should have the two times that I saw it in a theater. Re: One More Month
i have the one that has the theatrical subs, the crappy subs, and the badly acted English dub. The English dub gets silly at the end when they are at the pool. Jimmy talks like he is whining or something.danielma wrote:ColBlair wrote:Three different copies? I'm assuming two of those have the commentary tracks on them right? Sorry to hear about your situation. I'd gladly send you the LMI DVD as a small token of appreciation for creating this site, but I won't be employed when it's released, either.Wolfchild wrote:I am sort of annoyed that my love for Låt den rätte komma in and my extreme familiarity with it kept me from enjoying Let Me In as I should have the two times that I saw it in a theater. Maybe we can find some sort of cross-border business venture that would be profitable for both of us. How are you at tunneling?lombano wrote:Sorry to hear about your situation. Sorry - real bad joke. With the price being paid in blood for such things nowadays, there's really no humor in it.

Sorry you two seem to be having some hard times. I can't even contemplate something like that.lombano wrote: Wolfchild wrote:I am sort of annoyed that my love for Låt den rätte komma in and my extreme familiarity with it kept me from enjoying Let Me In as I should have the two times that I saw it in a theater. I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.
