Latest update on the epilogue

Re: Latest update on the epilogue
Bah! I am so jealous.

...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

The guy on the cover, he's very familiar.
This is how Oskar looks nowadays?

And we danced, on the brink of an unknown future, to an echo from a vanished past.

I just love that cover.

A new cover has appeared on Ordfront's webpage, a far more eerie one imo:

I prefer the new version myself.
Look at that hair! My little cousin calls me "crazy hair Sean", (when I have hair) has since she learned to speak.
It looks like I'll have to concede that title to John!

Gee, killing my mind's "like" button - now that's how a magician's supposed to look like!

Re: Latest update on the epilogue
The English term 'Novella' for a longish short story seems very close to the Swedish 'Novell', then...
Re: Latest update on the epilogue
Just to let you know - the second cover is indeed the right one. (John's wife took the picture - she's a great photographer as well as an amazing poet)
The collection is now at the printers, fingers crossed it turns out ok!
As for the English - the current state of affairs is that the short story Let The Old Dreams Die will be included in the American edition of Pappersväggar, but I'll keep you updated. (Not that you seem to need it)

Kewl, mon. :) I think I speak for everyone, editrice, when I say your efforts at keeping us updated on all-things-JAL are greatly appreciated. I'm sure you're busy with editor stuff, and many folks in your position wouldn't take the time to make posts the way you do. Like John, you are a stand-up guy. (Or are you a stand-up gal? It occurs to me that I don't know your gender; did you ever mention it?)editrice wrote:As for the English - the current state of affairs is that the short story Let The Old Dreams Die will be included in the American edition of Pappersväggar, but I'll keep you updated.
