I am enjoying this much.

Don't worry. Next is Oskar outside Eli's apartment.
On his way home from school Oskar stopped under the two windows of her apartment. The closest was only two metres from his own room.

Are the balconies on the other side, then?

Hope it's OK now. I was "tidying up" my Flickr photo sets, and had to (?) relink them. Sometimes Mac still is a mystery to me.
Photos are fine now, and they're really good. And if the truth were known, Mac is probably a mystery to its creators. For that matter, Windows is a mystery to ITS creators. ;)

Am I the only one who thinks Blackeberg looks rather nice? Visually, I mean? It's green, leafy, etc.

Based on my only two visits (friday and saturday): Yes, I definitely liked the place. Friday I went there alone, wandering about the park paths and the paths in the perimeter og Blackeberg, and I found it very pleasant. The only grumpy person I spotted was a wino at Blackeberg Centrum (not Lacke).

Maybe you had to have lived there for awhile back in the 70's and 80's to get the vibes about it that JAL conveys in the novel.

Probably, just read the previous post from StefL about earlier Blackeberg.

StefL also linked winter pictures from Blackeberg (in Swedish), for those who can't wait ;)
