LTROI related dreams?

Post by Zhoutai21 » Fri Jun 26, 2009 7:30 am

So, has anyone had any LTROI related dreams? I had one last week:

So, I'm walking around my university campus with Oskar who's gotten taller. We're just going through the food court area with the starbucks, the Carl's Jr., Sbarro, El Pollo Loco, etc. Also in the area is the student store. In the place where people would set up drums and stuff for live shows, they converted the place into a bunch of high water slides and such. Just some imagery to help. :3 And yes... my dreams are full of strange illogical imagery.

Anyway, I'm walking with Oskar and I ask him, "So what happened between you and Eli?" He doesn't reply though. He just looks away.

Next thing you know, we're in a dark place trying to hide from some entity that's killing people off inside. I can hear the growling and in the dark you can sort of make out two cat eyes darting around. After a moment, it's silent all around. As Oskar and I try to move, the cat eyes come back and it's looking straight at us. The eyes move forward and then stop just a few feet in front of us. All I hear is a faint familiar voice asking, "Oskar?" And I wake up.

Yeah... I have weird dreams. Thought I'd put it in this board because well... It was Kare from the movie. :D

My dreams have the tendency to skip events and stuff. lol And never quite make sense at all.

Edit: Meant to say a familiar feminine child voice.

That's much better than having a dream about Håkan.
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

It is so rare for me to remember any dreams, so I can't say one way of the other.

But any dreams with Hakan, film version over book version any day. At least in the film he keeps his trousers on....

I had a weird dream of the bridge scene with Eli and Jocke a few weeks ago. Only that it was not Jocke but me (at least I associated that character to myself) and Eli did not kill me, but I killed her. When I woke up, I slapped myself for having such malicious dreams :D . I don't know, must somehow be related to my video game passion. Maybe I played too much Ledt4Dead or something.

Ha! I play a bit of TF2. It never occurred to me until now, but I could run around in TF2 with the Blutsauger pretending that I'm Eli. 8-)

When I'm playing as the Hunter in L4D, I defnitely feel like Eli (save for the fact that I can't fly).

What do you play L4D on? 360? I have both pc and 360 versions and would definitely like to play with you sometime.. Though, I'm in the states so that could cause massive lag. :?

I've yet to try the competitive online in that game. Only played the coop with my buddy.

XBL: Quasi Juice 21
Can't recall my steam name though... I think it might be Jinhideo21.

And back on topic, I would probably beat the shit out of Hakan if I ever dreamed of him. Movie or novel version. No pedos are safe in my dreams! Probably shoryuken him or something.

OK, you're not gonna believe it, but some time ago, I actually had a dream about a video game based on LTROI. It was some kind of Silent Hill-ish "solve the mysteries"-type horror adventure where you were controlling a vampire chick. I defined it as Eli, although it didn't really look her and she was able to walk during daylight (without any sign of sparkling or other BS). Why I thought it was a LTROI game is that because the main enemies were... cats. As you were walking around in a foggy city, crazy cats started to attack you all the time, and you had to fight them. And whenever your healthbar was low, you must have feed on pedestrians (it was very BloodRayne-ish), and make sure to kill them after sucking their blood. I liked these action parts, but the problem-solving things that needed some thinking were too hard for me.

And I was friggin' disappointed when I woke up and realized that there was no actual LTROI game :-[
And we danced, on the brink of an unknown future, to an echo from a vanished past.
