***SPOLERS*** Favorite dialogue of the book?

***SPOLERS*** Favorite dialogue of the book?
Obviously there will be spoilers, and it's in the title so I'm not gonna censor anything so here's another warning haha
I was rereading the book and wondering which dialogue the people of the infected enjoyed most.
My favorite is the part where Eli is about to take blood from Tommy and Tommy says "I could just... jump you and take the money anyway, don't you understand that?" and Eli simply responds with "No you couldn't."
I actually thought it was kinda funny as Eli just responds so frankly, but at the same time it's pretty creepy. Tommy obviously doesn't know that Eli is a vampire and that she could just kill him at any moment. That whole part of the novel is so good as when she opens the door you start playing out different scenarios in your head as to what could happen. This is why JAL is so good. Eli could just snap at any moment.
But anyways... I'm curious about what how the infected would answer this question!!!

Banaaanas, maybe.
But from the beginning Eli was just Eli. Nothing. Anything. And he is still a mystery to me. John Ajvide Lindqvist

My favorite dialoge is when Eli knights Oskar, and I don't remember what townsname he chose but it ended with maybe. Så Oskar was knighted "Vallingy Maybe". I find that funny.
And I really really like Oskar and Eli's first bed conversation. More so than in the movie.

“Closed his mouth. Then pressed a kiss on Oskar's lips. For a few seconds Oskar saw through Eli's eyes. And what he saw was... himself. Only much better, more handsome, stronger than what he thought of himself. Seen with love.”

For the funny bits, I’d probably go with the „left it on a train“- part. I did not expect an answer like this to such a sensitive question, made me laugh out loud.
Apart from that, although it’s not a dialogue, I really liked Eli’s letter to Oskar whether he wanted to see Eli again. It touched me, I kind of thought: “Oskar, why are you hesitating? It’s YES, dammit!”

I really liked the 'bananas' exchange and would have liked to see it in the film.
No banaaaanas?

"Don't forget about the bananas" gets me every time.

One of my favs is when Oskar thinks ."yes.a boy.my friend.".
Please Oskar.Be me for a little while.

In my copy of the novel Oskar thinks:ltroifanatic wrote:One of my favs is when Oskar thinks ."yes.a boy.my friend.".
"En pojke. Min kompis. Ja."
"A boy. My friend. Yes."
Putting the "yes" last makes a subtle but important difference.
Furthermore, Oskar uses the term "kompis", which is a colloquial synonym for "vän" (friend).
Thus:
A boy. My buddy. Yes.
