I would like to make a little LTROI comic strip to put into the art section. I just have the german edition of the book and i dont know the original context. So my translation probable would not match the words in the novel.
I need the part where Eli visits Oscar by night and he says that he hopes she was not at the Lover's Kiosk like this and she replies 'Yes - and he looked out of the window and said cooooome iiiin .. cooome iiiin.. I have candy.. and gummibeaaars'

It's always interesting to learn what the English translation says. In this case the Swedish sega råttor (elastic rats) is turned into jelly beans.

Sega råttor are about two inches long, and taste of fruit. They are quite elastic, can be pulled to at least double length without snapping.
