Yeah, that's the usual reaction.
That's interesting. I've heard that the human body can't handle the consumption of more than just a tiny amount of blood and will vomit up any blood drinks consumed by wannabe vampires. Maybe it's just psychological for Americans.

It's really a matter of taste and culture. In my country, blood cube is so common and mixing fresh blood with food is common in the northeast (it losses popularity though due to parasite issue). I can't imagine how people from western world could handle that.
Once Grandmother gave her a little hood made of red velvet. Because it suited her so well, and she wanted to wear it all the time, she came to be known as Little Red Riding Hood
