To tell you guys the truth, I really don't know what was said in those interviews cause they were edited down quite a bit. Heck, I would loved to see a longer making-of video. I do agree with David though that the making-of video was aimed to those who were interested in Let Me In. However, I do agree that they could have maybe mentioned, just mentioned about the movie Let the Right One In as well. I really don't know what Alfredson did with the movie, aside of make the movie in his vision, while Reeves did his own vision. I also mentioned that Reeves recommended everyone to see Alfredson's LTROI movie as well in his commentary.danielma wrote:You do realize that user was myself rightThat "elephant" is a mouse in the eyes of the intended audience of that featurette, i.e. just folks looking to find out about the making of this movie.
Keep in mind this whole thread began with the poster making a great big mistake, misquoting one of the producers about something Richard Jenkins suggested (using a garbage bag mask). A simple human error, that, according to normal standards.
And I stand by what I said, they make out that the idea of Jenkins wearing a mask (be it a trash bag or a cloth mask as scripted) was Jenkins idea on the spot. When it wasn't, be it cloth mask or trash bag, it was still a notion and intent written into the script.
So yes call me skeptical on that little antedote...but that's not me saying "We should STONE them for lying"That's just me saying "Yeah Sure it was" in a sarcastic tone
I said it before, the 17 minute feature made me laugh...it didn't make me emotionally angry or annoyed at them...it just made me laugh over how much they spun truth.
Other than that, I believe Richard Jenkins came up with the bag idea over the cloth mask idea. I never thought you were angry at the makers of LMI, Daniel.
