Well, um, the trailer looks good. And this is just one review.
I liked the Pepsi commercial.

Re: Empire Review of Tomas Alfredson's "The Snowman"
Here's two more negative reviews....
Two things are pretty clear here. Michael Fassbender is not big enough star to open a major motion picture
and Tomas Alfredson can't bat a thousand every time...
But he's a good director...and he'll be back.

I got the impression that T.A. doesn't handle very well the FX - CGI.

The thing is, I'm waiting for Kermode's review.

Re: Empire Review of Tomas Alfredson's "The Snowman"
There seems to be a theme for critics of Tomas' films, they don't get the genre they expect. Many still wrongly refer to Let The Right One In as a horror film, many were initially annoyed that Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy wasn't what they expected from a spy film. There was one positive voice though...Nightrider wrote:

.There was one positive voice at the Oslo premiere, from retired film critic Per Haddal who said he liked The Snowman. “I think it’s ridiculous to give the film a ‘two,’ as many much-too-eager colleagues have done,” Haddal told NRK. “This is a film that has it’s own rhythm.” He also said it had “many fine qualities” and was “neither a psychological drama nor an action film, but a form of playing chess with human destinies.”

Re: Empire Review of Tomas Alfredson's "The Snowman"
I am certain that Mr. Alfredson is one of those few directors like Stephen Spielberg whose "inferior" films are still above average. Looking forward to seeing it, and maybe in the promotion of the film if they say starring "Magneto" perhaps it will attract Fassbender's X-Men fans.

According to Tomas Alfredson, 15% of the screenplay wasn't even filmed.

Anyway, as a movie fan, will still go to see it in the weekend.
