Does Abby normally sleep alone?

Post by Lee Kyle » Sun Oct 16, 2011 2:54 am

Abby sleeps over in Owen's room, but later sleeps alone in the bathroom. She leaves a note warning Owen not to come in. Is sleeping alone her normal pattern? This would make the sleepover with Owen an exceptional event.

Need to make a decision about her regular sleep pattern for next chapter in my fanfic. Thanks!

My presumption is that Abby, who normally sleeps during the day, dozed with Owen but slept for real when she went back to her own place. Nothing supports this presumption that I'm aware, it's probably just something I brought in from other vampire fiction. "Once I have rested", Langella's Dracula tells Van Helsing, "my need is only to avoid sunlight" (or words to such effect).

However, I also presume without foundation that she sleeps for real during the day, and that this sleep can be very deep. During this sleep, nothing really separates the girl from the beast, and when rudely awoken, it's the beast that comes imeediately to the fore. Notice that when Owen yelled at the cop in her bathroom, Abby lost just no time at all launching her attack.

Sleeping with Abby at night probably is a relatively safe proposition, always presuming she consents to it. During the day, though...? I wouldn't want to risk it.

It makes me feel wierd that Abby would go straight to Owens bed right
after chomping poor Thomas. I know he was a horrible person. A serial
murderer. But his love for Abby was unconditional. That was max effort
EVERY other day. No days off. And him posted up looking lovingly at his photo
of her and him as kids crushed me. She shoo'd him. Grown man.
I know I started rambling. But needed to see what you thought.

My answer is that Abby and Thomas shared a bed until things fell apart.
They probably had different sleep patterns. After a while.

I'm like 86% sure she loved Owen. But reading posts about the m-word
makes me less sure.
im worried that we may have gotten our lunchables mixed up
