Also interesting that she is continuing the mud theme.
That's so interesting, I would love to see her in other films. She looks a lot like Lina in that picture.
Has anyone found a boy actor who would be right for Eli? I would rather see a boy in the role if they remade it again but I can't think of anyone.

Yep, you've convinced me.

Okay. But I've never seen him in anything, was he a good actor as a child?

With black hair.
I already posted this elsewhere, but this thread seemed more appropriate.
This is a recent shot of Paris, one of Michael Jackson's kids..she's supposed to be 13, so perhaps she's a bit too old for the role of Eli...
She definitely has a touch of strangeness on her side.

If her dad was still living, he could have played Zombie Hakan or Zombie Thomas.

I've just watched Paper Moon, so I'm going to Suggest Tatum O'Neal who won an Oscar for that role.
And looking even more boyish with her Oscar.
Team Eli

"It was the part I was born to play baby!" Troy McClure.
John Howard Davies as Oskar.
Willam Macy as Hakan.
Christina Ricci as Eli.
Debbie Harry as Virginia
Robert Newton (playing himself) as Lacke. I would like to see the part played by someone over-acting, just to see how it would work out.
I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

I like this cast ( especially Oskar ), except Christina as Eli. There is something about her that just isn't quite right for the part.

Has anyone seen the film series of the Henning Mankell Wallander books? the Swedish series. In one episode the boy who plays Stefan as a child looks a lot like how I would picture Eli.
I don't live in Sweden and have not been able to find out who that is. maybe someone else would know...
