Just like Matt Reeves and co, the creators of the comic say all the right things, praising LTROI relentlessly, claiming to understand it, and swearing to do a respectful work that fans of LTROI will like. But just Reeves the actual work they produce fails miserably and shows they didn't get LTROI at all.

Still, I plan to buy the comic, and enjoy Abby as a warped parody of Eli, sort of how I enjoyed the Marvel Zombies.

Its gonna be like Wes Craven garbage. But hey as they stated its a Prequel to "THEIR" version of the story ala the American one. So expect it to be very americanised.

I think I'm the only person who's excited for it, don't know what its gonna end up being about too much so don't hate me. I feel like its a prequel to LMI which already has a different backstory, so why not, its not affecting LTROI at all. And if it does suck, I'lll block it out when I watch LMI because it really is nothing more than fanfiction, but I'll pry buy every issue.

Oh I'll buy the books simply out of morbid curiosity...who knows the books might actually get me to like and sympathize with Abby a little more than I did in the film :)

I'll buy them simply out of morbid curiosity I guess.

Usually Dark Horse has a good reputation with movie tie-ins like their Star Wars comics, but the plot and the artwork for the LMI prequel looks awful. If they did Abby's back story of how she was turned or what she was doing during the past 200 years would maybe interesting. And one thing we should be thankful for LMI is that it distracted Dark Horse from it's original intention which according to this article: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page ... e&id=25775
was the further adventures of Oskar and Eli. When they approached the LTROI producers for the comic book rights to the original movie, they in turn were asked if they interested in doing the LMI prequel.

Has anyone found and/or read this comic yet? I've checked the local stores and it does not seem to be in stock. I imagine following the poor sales of the movie they might not feel as confident anymore about the comic.

My conscience won't allow me to buy it, but my older brother has no scruples when it comes to comics, so I'll make sure to read his copies. I'm not crazy about what I've seen so far, but I can't get past my curiousity.
