I liked the interview with Kodi and yeah, I can definately see him playing Eli.
Also I've got to give him Kudo's for actually rushing out and watching the original as soon as filming finished. Shows respect for the creators of LTROI. At Comic Con Chloe said she still hadn't seen it, which either shows a complete lack of respect or a deplorable lack of curiosity on her part.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Kodi in action now.

At 2:24 Kodi talked about the original film and the scene that he loved the most. They should get Kodi and Kåre in a film together. 8-)

Hadn't seen that one, thanks for posting. I liked Kodi's imitation of Kare in the scene where Eli comes in uninvited. This kid is definately growing on me. I now have a legitimate reason to be excited about seeing it. :D

A review and a video about the premiere that includes the full Q&A.

LTROI won Best Horror Feature at this festival 2 years ago, so it's possible that many people had already seen LTROI.

You are wrong in both cases. Her mother wouldn't let her see it for whatever reason.

Oh the hypocrisy. Having your child act in 2 R-rated movies - each role being one of the driving factors for the rating (including copious amounts of swearing in one case) - but then chickening out, when it comes to watching some quite mild stuff... Reeks of massive idiocy.

Definitely. Kick-Ass is far worse than LTROI in terms of content. And LMI is essentially a shot for shot remake of LTROI, so I don't know why Chloe's mom is worried about one and not the other. There is the nude shot, but it's two seconds long--Chloe's mom could just cover her eyes during that part.

Actually with all due respect Cat, its you that is wrong. Chloe's mother ( Cupcakecutie on IMDB) said that the reason she hadn't seen it was because she was too busy making more movies and that she would see it eventually. She certainly never said anything about her not being allowed to see it. I should know because I had this very argument with her. It may have been the case a year ago just before she got the part, but from what her mom said she certainly has no objection to her seeing it now or at any time since shooting finished. I said to her at the time that I found it strange, because if had been me in Chloe's position I would be curious. Just like Kodi was curious when they finished shooting.

So that line about her not being allowed just isn't true anymore. Either her mom hasn't told her she can, or she's just using it as an excuse. Its a shame because I would really like to hear her opinions on the film and of Lina's performance compared to hers. When you think about it its a question she is undoubtedly going to be asked once the movie premiere's, so she better get on her bike on rent a copy before all the interviews start.

Agreed. Somewhere, lurking no doubt, is a dollar sign. ;)

It really is ironic isn't it. I mean Kick Ass is far worst than anything presented in LTROI. I find it funny that she has said in interviews that she is allowed to see her films that are Rated R because she knows its all fake and she was involved with it all and blah blah, yet she's not allowed to watch other R rated films because she is still a kid. Okay, I think the kid by now should know that its all fake...I'm not saying she should rush out and see Srpski Film or something  , but well yeah you all get it. Kind of a hypocritical notion. Hope that makes sense, I can't think of better words to say what I mean.

I still don't buy that she hasn't seen it. She has said she has seen clips of the original.

That and when I've seen her in the clips, it really does reek of imitation (although to be fair that could just be Matt Reeves taking too many direction cues from the original film). Her Abby feels a lot like an imitation of Lina's Eli in the clips, thats what I've noticed.

Every clip I've seen her in reeks of an imitation of Lina...why I kind of find it ironic when people try to say "Oh she's doing it completely different". From those clips to me it just looked a pale imitation of Lina from the original film. I have yet to see her do anything majorly different with it.
