They forgot this (in the very beginning):

"The sun rises at 11:34 and sets at 15:27."

Four hours of sun above the horizon. Eli would like it, I think...
But from the beginning Eli was just Eli. Nothing. Anything. And he is still a mystery to me. John Ajvide Lindqvist

there is a short synopsis in the story in the link.

I read two reviews. One said the movie sort of loses the thread about the mine being the center of the conflict. Oh well. I'd watch it, though, just to see Lina. Can't say the same for "Arbiter." Sounds rancid to me.

Again--welcome Johnjohn

I can't get the link to work properly, sorry.

we might have a chance at seeing it across the pond.

Okay, I copied and dropped in the URL. It worked. Let's see if this works. http://www.yellowaffair.com/web/guest/n ... est%2Fnews

Yay, it works in preview. I've seen this trailer before. I wish Lina looked happier and that there was more of her in the trailer. Great to see her and hear her voice. Surely we'll be able to see it soon in the U S of A. It has a new name and English subtitles.

In the very beginning of this clip, the interviewer says: "Tell us, how does it feel to finally have your film "Ömheten", The Tenderness ..."

...If nothing else, Broken Hill Blues will be welcome viewing for all those out there beyond Sweden who’ve been waiting to see what’s happened to Lina Leandersson, who played Eli, the fragile pubescent vampire in Tomas Alfredson’s 2008 cult hit Let the Right One In. (more)...

Thanks, Nightrider.

It looks like our beloved film has finally achieved official cult status:

Gee, just about everything I love has a relatively small following. Having read so many positive reviews, however, by mainstream film critics, I'm pretty sure LTROI isn't a cult film--just a remarkable, magic, brilliant, cinema classic. And on the face of it, WTI isn't a cult. There's not set of beliefs that we have to subscribe to. On the other hand, I would entertain the possibility that we are a kind of coven. At least some of our user names suggest that we are on easy terms with wizardry and the like.
