Hey and a pretty good review too. Can't wait to see it.Guess I'll have to wait for the DVD but it looks like it'll be worth the wait.

Re: First BORDER review
This sounds very promising! I wonder when it'll make it to theaters. Thanks for posting the review!
Here's another take from someone who saw it at Cannes:
Here's another take from someone who saw it at Cannes:
http://www.firstshowing.net/2018/cannes ... t-classic/Once you get a chance to see Border, get in touch and then we can talk more about it. We can talk about how crazy weird and wild it gets, how much it goes in odd directions both expected and unexpected, and how wickedly enjoyable it is. We can talk about the exceptional lead performances, which kept me wondering if they were really wearing prosthetics or not, because I'll be damned if they aren't scarily believable. We can talk about how incredible of a writer John Ajvide Lindqvist is, and how we need to see more stories from him as soon as possible. And we can talk about everything else hidden in this fine film. It's not often these days we can say that this is something we've never, ever seen before on a big screen, but this is one of those times. And I cannot wait until everyone gets the chance to see this film for themselves. You won't be ready.

Director of BORDER Ali Abbasi and JAL smiling like cats that got the cream.
Good to see hair on top of John's head....It's a good look for him.

Re: First BORDER review
Durn, Nightrider. If I had not read "Border" and had not watched all of the trailers I could find, the review would have given me no sense of what the film is about.http://www.indiewire.com/2018/05/border ... 201962689/
It has not opened in Atlanta, yet but I'm eagerly awaiting it.

My copy came yesterday and I watched it today. Wow, it was fantastic. The makeup, hairstyles and locations were perfect. I sure hope we see some more films of JAL's stories in the future!

Re: First BORDER review
I completely agree with you, CrowAmongDoves. I truly hope this isn't the last time that a JAL story comes to the big screen!
perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood
