Just playing Devil's Advocate here, he doesn't actually state that Henry (Oskar) will be the Renfield character. As in the novel, the Renfeld character could be their Håkan equivalent.

Here's hoping, anyway.

If it turns out that Henry is the Renfield, then I'll be dropping it faster than a dead <redacted> covered in <redacted>

there's no way that they wouldn't go the Reinfield route for a TV show. THere's just not enough drama in a solid relationship for a TV season.
