Translation of the title?
Re: Translation of the title?
OK, Nightrider, I think I've found the source of confusion.
My posting beginning with "I was referring to" was begun before you had posted your one about "Promised land", but was posted later. Thus, my posting was not a comment of your one, it only looked that way because of the timing.

But from the beginning Eli was just Eli. Nothing. Anything. And he is still a mystery to me. John Ajvide Lindqvist

And this would probably be just the Svenska release.metoo wrote:JAL writes that he hopes it will be released in fall 2014.EEA wrote:Thanks for the information.

...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

Re: Translation of the title?
The title is completely untranslatable, so I have (so far) two options for an english title.
The first is "Devoid". It´s a good title in regards to the story, and when you pronounce it, it sounds roughly like "The Void", which also has connections with the story.
The second alternative has to do with the book I´m going to write after Himmelstrand, which has a mythological connection to Himmelstrand. It´s not a sequal, but a sort of a relative and deals with the murder of Olof Palme.
So. Therefore Himmelstrand would be called "I am behind you", and the second one "I always find you."
It´s got something to do with the theme of a certain song.
Which song, anyone?

Well, maybe I didn't, but at least I said it would be difficult.

PS: I like that the boys ride in the backseat in the video.

Re: Translation of the title?
Well, guess I got the definitive answer.
Thanks
Thanks
I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.
