Wanna see a bad review of TTSS? There aren't too many of them but this one's a doozy:

"absolutely unforgivably awful"

From a right-wing pundit like Hitchens, writing in the Daily Heil or Heil on Sunday, this probably translates as "Absolutely unforgivably accurate" , offending his James Bond-style fantasies.

It's a bizarre review. Hitchens seems completely incapable of looking at the film as a work of art separate from the book. His critisisms all seem to come from the fact that the film doesn't meticulously transfer every little detail from the book, verbatim. He's like some kind of fundamentalist, fiercely defending the holy word of Le Carré.

The fact that Le Carré himself has given the film his unreserved seal of approval apparently doesn't carry any weight with Mr Hitchens.

Any relation to Christopher Hitchens?

Peter Hitchens and Christopher Hitchens are brothers, but that's apparently all that they have in common.
Peter is a traditional conservative and a strong advocate of moral virtues strongly based in Christian faith.
Christopher as we all know is completely opposite. I'd like to hear what Christopher Hitchens has to say about TTSS.
Unfortunately he has a bigger fish to fry since for the last few years he's fighting esophageal cancer.
Hope he makes it.

Interesting pair of brothers. Here's Peter reviewing Christopher:
