Interesting audio clip.
The more of the pre-release info I discover on TTSS the more I'm starting to worry.
From what I can tell "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" will be very intelligent, textured and detailed film.
As created by Tomas Alfredson TTSS promises to be a highly nuanced work of cinema. Made by adults for adults...
You know, the kind of film that's no longer in vogue...The kind of film that isn't taken seriously by ticket buying public....
The kind of film that isn't made anymore these days...
I hope I'm wrong...so very wrong. :|

I wouldn't worry too much about the North American box-office, since the film's release date has been moved from Nov 18 to Dec 9, any commercial competition with "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" (Nov 18) will be avoided. By the way, Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch will attract some of the younger audience.

I could be wrong, but do you really think that those two carry such sizable name recognition?

Tom Hardy, with his mainstream success of "Inception", "Warrior" and the buzz of "The Dark Knight Rises". Cumberbatch will attract some of his "Sherlock" fans.

By the way, did you notice the Harry Potter actors in Alfredson's film, Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) , John Hurt (Ollivander), Toby Jones (Dobby), Ciarán Hinds (Aberforth Dumbledore) and more.

Right. I think it has to do with the fact that all of them are really strong actors...Any director would be proud to have that cast in his/her movie. 8-)
