"Border" (Gräns). Best short story, ever. With the possible exception of LTODD.

I'm curious now...if John thinks that is the best thing he has written, then that is saying something big and now the curiosity has risen...considering that I thought Little Star was his finest piece of work so far (seriously, I really think Little Star is the best thing JAL has written so far)

Anyways...bring on August...I really can not wait to read another JAL Book...that and I'm dying off anticipation to read Let the Old Dreams Die :)

I agree in LS being John's best story so far. Two years ago I wrote it was balancing on a razor edge between warm-heartedness and despair. It still is up there, balancing. The story is extremely well written.
IMO point is that in LS I fell in love with the story, while in LTROI and Gräns (border), I more like rooted for the characters. In LTODD I did both.

I just received a definite confirmation from a little birdie in England that LTODD
is available for pre-order from The Book Depository in UK only....at least for now.
TBD website on this side of the pond still does not have a pre-order option.
I was however able to place an order on Amazon UK without any problems.
Perhaps things will change the closer it'll get to the book's release date(August 30, 2012).
Soooo.. will see.
