Hej,...

I just notified the little smile on Eli's face, after she waved Hakan out of the room. It is barely reachable, right before she is turning back to the wall, but how adorable.

For me, It turns the hole situation in complete different. Before I had cached that little smile, I really thought Eli was somewhat abrasive to Hakan. Kind of commanding over him in a bad way. In regard to her power, she maybe could easily rule over someone.

But as soon I noticed this smile, the cute 12 Year old girl was back, that simply demand: "Oh, please. Some privacy here, please. I have to try out new things. It's embarrassing."

Awww. How cute...

I think this moment is one where Lina shows a little of herself and is having fun with the scene. (You slmost have to pause the film to see it as it happens so fast) She probably got a kick out of bossing the adult around like that.

Yes it does, since we don't get to see Eli play around like a child much in the film. It's nice to catch those moments.

I agree. I think she knew she was being a bit uncharitable to Hakan, but didn't care. It was too much fun.

There are few places where Eli is seen as a 12 year old and having fun. That smile don't come out very often. But when it dose, she is so pretty and sweet.

It's similar to when eli was about to point at the puzzled egg with her left hand and smiles for a second before pointing it with her right hand.

Hi NAXMUI Welcome.

I still get a kick out of Eli's sense of humor. When Oskar asks, "Where do you live?" Eli replies, "I live right here in the jungle gym." That's not in the book btw.

Coincides with her deadpan comments in the book 'though. She left her junk in the subway, y'know ;) .

I think she enjoyed her power over Hakan and the fact she could order him around and do what she liked.
Poor Hakan was living in the worst of worlds imaginable. Infatuated with and murdering for a 12 year old vampire who really had no feelings for him.
Like an abused housewife, he stayed because he had nowhere else to go and had no life outside of her.
