Welcome to our forums. These forums are dedicated to We, The Infected. We who have had our imaginations taken over by one more of these wonderful works of fiction. Go ahead enjoy the forums. Show us things about Let The Right One In that have never occurred to us. Make sure that our imaginations continue to be shaken by it like a rat in the jaws of a terrier.

As you do so please keep in mind the following:
  1. These forums are for the discussion of John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel Let The Right One In, as well as the movies based upon it: Tomas Alfredson's Let The Right One In and eventually Matt Reeves' Let Me In. Other welcome topics are those discussing fan art, fan fiction, or other fan-created media related to these stories. If you are not here to discuss any of these things, the internet is a huge place and there is probably somewhere else where you will better fit in. Please go find it. If necessary we will assist you. If it becomes necessary to assist you, you will not be missed - or forgiven.
  2. At the time of this writing, the stars of Tomas Alfredson's film are thirteen years old. The general standard for language used here is that wherever possible the language used should not be inappropriate for a thirteen year old to read. Some topics involved with this story are disturbing and discussions of them will also be disturbing and probably not appropriate for a thirteen year old to read. This is unavoidable. However, gratuitous use of profanity, or coarse or salacious language will not be permitted.
  3. Trolling is permitted so long as it spawns interesting or amusing discussion. Artless trolling will earn you attention that you don't want.
  4. This is a community, so debating and discussion is to be expected (and appreciated) but we hold a zero tolerance policy for insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts.
  5. Advertising and spamming is not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, and private message systems to spam other members. You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests. Posting links to polls relating to these works of fiction is allowed.
  6. Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, non-sense posts, or such. Likewise, multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
  7. We do not allow posts or links to sites that are illegal or sexual in nature.
  8. We do not allow the use of shortened URLs such as TinyURL.com or bit.ly or any other type of link that does not show the user where it is pointing.
  9. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed. However due to the nature of this site, we take a liberal view of fair use of such things as excerpts and screenshots of copyrighted material.
  10. Posts about the private personal information of any person are not allowed. Posts that compromise the privacy or anonymity of other forum users are not allowed. However, posts about contact information for professional representatives (theatrical agents, publicists, public relations, etc.) or to other information that is obviously intended to be public are allowed.
  11. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. Sharing accounts is also not allowed. One account, one person.
  12. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice, as well as terminate the account of the person posting them.
  13. While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
  14. We reserve the right to update and modify these rules as the needs of the community dictate to ensure the smooth operation of this community.
  15. Posts of a political nature are not allowed. The only exceptions are discussion of the politics of Sweden and discussion of the politics of Reagan-era United States as it relates to Let Me In. The definition of "political" is at the discretion of the forum management. If you are not sure whether something you want to post is "political," please PM a moderator before posting.
  16. The Off Topic forum section is for topics that are of interest to the community here even though they may not be related to these works of fiction. Posts in this section are generally exempt from the first rule, but all of the others still apply.
  17. By using the forums, you are agreeing to these rules.
