I guess it's just how people react emotionally to different things. There were a few points in the movie, which I found particularly touching but I never came close to being a lttle teary eyed. I guess the movie just doesn't pack the same emotional punch as the novel does..... For me there were allot of parts in the novel, which had me getting a bit teary eyed, especially the note Eli left on the coffee table.Nightrider wrote:I think it's tough to find anyone who did not feel even a bit teary eyed after or during LTROI...

Re: Who else cried?
I always get a little misty-eyed every time I see the shot of Oskar picking up the Rubix cube (he looks so cute and happy!
) the bedroom scene, Eli's departure, and at the very end.

"Oskar saw through Eli's eyes. And what he saw was...himself. Only much better, more handsome, stronger than what he thought of himself. Seen with love."

Re: Who else cried?
I cry during scenes throughout the whole movie. I also cry whenever I hear Eli's theme. Its so bad I don't even want to watch the movie because I know its going to break my heart. I first saw Let Me In on netflix a couple of weeks ago and had a flood of emotion. I then found out about Ltroi and I watch it once a day at least. I ordered the book. I have not been affected like this by a movie ever in my life. Hell yes I cry.

I don't think I've outright cried but certainly gotten misty-eyed during some of the scenes mentioned. There's no lack of sadness in this film, which is probably why I choose to believe in a happy ending (and damn the consequences).

No crying here, but a broad, beatific smile, completely devoid of spite or sarcasm.
Att fly är livet, att dröja döden.
Do not ask why; ask why not.
Do not ask why; ask why not.
