Makes you realise how beautifully this movie has been put together. I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that Lina had to put on tons of make-up for some scenes.I think it's her in the scene you mentioned . Although there was another actress for the "old" voice of Eli so I may be wrong.I must learn Swedish lol as I feel I'm missing a lot of subtle things while I read the English subtitles. :D
From IMDb:
Susanne Ruben ... Eli åldrad

Elif Ceylan ... Elis röst (voice)

Esmeralda Nikolajeff ... stunt double

Nicole Grängshem ... stand-in

Pure guesswork:
Susanne Ruben could be the old face in the basement scene and in the "be me" scene.
Esmeralda Nicolajeff could be Eli in the tree before she attacks Virginia.
Nicole Grängshem could be one of the Elis in the basement. She looks remarkably like Eli and was a young teen in 2008. (Three Elis in the basement? Could be.)

Wow. Three Elis. Now that would be a handful. lol. I wouldn't be surprised if you're right. Just another example of how well this masterpiece has been thought out. The next time I watch it I'll turn the subtitles off. Seems easier than learning Swedish. lol. But I love how they pronounce Ma-Ma and Pa-Pa.. So cute. Thanks for your input. Always a pleasure to read your posts. :D
Please Oskar.Be me for a little while.
