The literal translation would be "Become me [for] a little [while]".
In the English translation of the book and the Magnolia subtitles in the film it's rendered as "Be me a little". The theatrical subtitles use "Be me, for a little while".
When I watch it again, via amazon prime, I'll have to see what those subs say. I've ordered the dvd, a bit ago. I'm curious to see how those subs are.
