In the first chapter of the first part of The Other Girl, towards the end it says: "He stroked Maria's cheek and started to cry without knowing why. Because of the image of the wet snow against the window of a warmly lit room where a child had been born. Because there was a secret he would never be part of."
I've always been a bit confused as to what this scene means? What secret?
Also, the scene where Teresa as a child asks Goran why things exist and eventually starts crying when Goran asks for a necklace to be made for him. Why did she cry?
I'm curious. [Small spoilers]

I assume it's the 'secret' of childbirth and motherhood.
Bli mig lite.

Huh, well I guess that makes sense then. Silly me, I don't notice obvious things sometimes -_-lombano wrote:I assume it's the 'secret' of childbirth and motherhood.
