Amazon UK says my copy should arrive November first. I can't track the package so I'm just going to stop in this weekend and see if maybe it came early.

It should be quite a change of pace to go from Moby Dick to this but I'm looking forward to it.

I got mine three days ago. Now I'm desperately trying to squeeze out time here and there to read it.
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

Same here. :(

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

And here. It arrived last week from the UK but I haven't been home for like ten days and now I got a lot of other stuff to read. Oh well.

I'm about half way through it at the moment. Lots of detail, so I need to take frequent breaks. Various threads are starting to come together.
