Does anyone now have the English version yet?
Has anyone obtained a copy of the English translation? Australia seems to be getting it now.
I forget what the time frame was for the UK edition which I am having shipped, but it should be soon.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

Haven't started reading it yet...i'm still in the middle of reading Man on Fire, but once I'm done with Man on Fire, I'll crack it open and start reading.

I have to wait three more weeks.Dispatched via Royal Mail (estimated arrival date: October 18, 2010).
At least my Tyler Stout poster should be back from the framers any day now.
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

Yep, I visited this site today to say that mine had shipped a few days early. My Amazon UK orders have usually only taken around a week to get here, so I better hurry and finish the book that I'm currently reading or I have a feeling that I'll drop it to start on Harbour. I seriously can't get enough of Mr. Lindqvist. Hopefully his other books are translated at some point, too.Wolfchild wrote:I have to wait three more weeks.Dispatched via Royal Mail (estimated arrival date: October 18, 2010).

So this should be published in the UK by now.
The Book Depository in Gloucester tells me that my shipment will go out in the next few days.

My copy turned up yesterday - nice to see a Hardback JAL book. I'll be starting it as soon as I finish the Mustaine biography book, probably this weekend.gattoparde59 wrote:So this should be published in the UK by now.

I really hope my copy shows up soon. I want to be able to discuss it with everyone while people still have it on their minds. I don't want to get it late and lose out on the conversations. My estimated arrival date is Oct. 18. Ugh, I can't wait that long.

I was trying to read the Swedish version with my minor knowledge and a Swedish/English dictionary,...but it was like work and I wasn't getting the enjoyment of the flow of his writing, I'm not svenskasmart enough yet.
So I ordered the English version from AmazonUK on Saturday and it came Tuesday.
I am halfway through.

I got my copy today.
Now I can stop hating Sean and Danielma.
I read the dedication out loud and managed to keep from choking up, but I almost did.
