Absolutely. NOTLD is an amazing film and one of my favorites. Great atmosphere and awesome b&w photography. Just beautiful EC Comic Horror story turned live action.

I am not into zombie movies either. I have seen some of them but then I can sleep at night jeje. I did like Shaun of the Dead since it was funny. When I was reading Handling the Undead some parts scared me that I don't know how I manage to finish the book.

Speaking of zombies...This item was for sale in gun accessories catalog I get once in a while. A target that bleeds...and it's made in USA.
Who says everything's made in China?

Old zombie movie, very different from the modern cannibal/apocalypse. It has been described as the zombie version of Jane Eyre, which is gives it something in common with Handling the Undead.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

Hello All: This is my first post. I love the movies and I love this website!

I think Marcus Aurelius makes a good point about zombies being tied to social unrest. I saw this story on "zombie ammo" a few days ago. The maker said he was inspired by the three or so cannibal stories that were in the news at the same time. This is tongue-in-cheek but it's real ammo!

a_contemplative_life mentioned there's not much human drama in zombie movies. Chloe Moretz's new movie "Maggie" sounds like it has the potential to portray zombies as sympathetic figures.

I recommend Return Of The Living Dead, a cheesy New Wave inspired Zombie flick from the Eighties. It sounds like a Romero film but it was actually directed by the main writer of the movie Alien named Daniel Obannon. I remember it being pretty good though I havent seen it in awhile.

I do want to see I Walked With A Zombie.
