Maybe brought to JAL by courier and signed....
The English translation sells for 400SEK? Wow. That's more than the Swedish edition. I just picked up a Swedish one (with the turtle cover) for just over 300SEK (not inc shipping). It's not signed though, but then - what would I expect for 300SEK? I do have a signed first edition of the Quercus English translation, but I have no idea what it would be worth to someone else (not that it matters - I plan to be buried with it 8-) ).
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

Yes, I mixed it up with the Swedish, I recalled you wanted one. Mine isn't signed either, but one day I will show up with it at one of his public appearances (that sounded weird..).

I collect hardbacks...and I was really disapointed with the quality of paperback LTROI that you can find all over USA...It's made to fall apart. That's why I snapped up HB version of "Handling the Undead"...guess I'll keep looking for LTROI...At a decent price...I'm not paying $100 or $1000.

The guy I got it from for you told me - since I met him face to face when I picked the book up and paid him - said he looks around regularly in second hand stores etc and gets stuff that he knows will sell for a profit, which was apparently what he'd done with your copy which is sitting on my desk. He said he finds LDRKI occasionally and if he can get it for a few 10ths of SEK he buys it and then puts it up for auction.

Just finished HTU.
It was a tough read, but in the end it was worth it. The book will ring true for anyone who lost a loved one to a disease, accident or old age and how far you would go if you could have them back in your life.
HTU is a haunting and thought provoking work of fiction. I loved reading the book and I will probably come back to it in the future...Now, if only "Paper walls" was released in US so I can check out "The Final Handling".....

Speaking of Paper Walls, how many pages is the LTROI epilogue again?

The one I've seen was about 16 pages.

In my paperback copy it is just over thirty pages long. But it feels much longer, like a short novel. Maybe because it has a snapshot style where the reader might imagine the gaps. Same magic as LTROI.
