Re: From the light of a different sun
I just clicked on that image from my file browser and didn't immediately recognise it as the one I'd done in the wee hours of the morning. That really is Abby under all the glop, but I don't think I remember everything I put there. Some splotchy but really faint colouring around the eyes, contact lenses from some shop on the river Styx, a soupcon of bleach and maybe a tiny spritz of bluing on the whites of the eyes, some shoe polish for the eyebrows, lipstick from another shop shelf (right next to the eye of newt, wing of bat and mortician supplies) along with a bit of dried blood at the corners of the mouth. I swiped the DVD symbol off another DVD cover, some weird little graphic from dongregg that looks vaguely like a Chinese character and blatted out something silly for teaser text.
The boys are untouched (well, maybe some hair spray...), but I cast them in a greenish light. A green cast on a person is so ooky, don't you think?
As for Abby's overall facial makeup, though, well... I hid a skull in it.

Ahh, deadly animals hidden in the background. Snake, spider, scorpion, what looks like a tiger too. Nice. The glossy green of her eyes strikes me as distinctly feline, like a cat with a flashlight in its eyes. The corpse-like pallor is pretty unsettling too.

Looked a little harder and noticed them. Having the shark be blended into the shirt actually looks pretty neat.
