Eli in colored pencil

Post by Sockyeti » Sat Sep 24, 2016 7:47 pm

Hey guys,

This is my colored pencil drawing of Eli/Lina Leandersson from Let the Right One In. I'm a 20-year-old (artist?) from Tennessee and long-time lurker of We, the Infected. :D
The photo isn't the best, and it'll be a while before I get a new camera, but I hope you guys like it. I had a lot of fun doing it.

Yes, Sockyeti, you are indeed an artist. I love the white highlights in her hair.

I'm so glad you decided to join. How long were you lurking? :)

I don't know one blessed thing about art, but... um... you did this with coloured pencil!? It looks for all the world to me like you used a crappy camera to take an actual picture of Eli! This is outright AMAZING!

I agree. It's absolutely beautiful. Well done!

It's too good. I'd swear it was a pic and not a drawing. If you are really this talented you will be a very successful artist. People will pay well for portraits of this quality.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. I'm very amazed at the overall friendliness of this forum. I don't believe I've seen another quite like it. I've always been kind of reluctant to post my artwork online, but I hope to show you guys some more soon. Sorry about the quality of the photo though. I hope to get a new camera in the near future! :D
