Fooling around with a comic engine

Post by Sam » Tue Oct 06, 2015 3:44 pm

Just for fun. A pity I don't have real skills. I don't even know how to permalink that. I bet they get deleted soon.

I thought those are two incredibly funny things in the story. The moment Eli hides behind Oskars back and his mother talks about "those terrible neighbours". I just laughed. That could have lead to such an akward pillowtalk  And I love this absurd idea that a Eli is attracted to Oskar (not really, but in part) because he is creepy.

Ignore the terrible comic engine. This was the best possible result in could do in 20 minutes work.

With the right images this could prove to be very fruitful .

.
"For a few seconds Oskar saw through Eli’s eyes. And what he saw was … himself. Only much better, more handsome, stronger than what he thought of himself. Seen with love."

Yes, I had a couple more in mind, but that is impossible with that engine. I wasn't even able to do the speechbubbles like I wanted. But try it, it's fun for a couple of minutes.

I would have prefered something like Southpark or Order of the Stick. Does someone know that?

The beginning is a bit roleplay for insiders, but after some time they become really great. THe author even succeeded in transporting emotions to the audience. Incredible, when you see those are just stick figures.

I'm one of those others who found these amusing. Very amusing!

(On the other hand, I'm also a big Calvin and Hobbes fan.) :D

Throw me in with the lot that finds it amusing. Those were pretty funny moments. Like Jameron said, it just needs the right artwork.
