Eli's greatest puzzle Poem/fanvideo

You come to me like a puzzle
It is all I know
Like the cube
With its bright colors
I would look at every corner
Twist every turn
Just to see your solid color
Reflecting back at me as a mirror

As I twist and turn
Waiting for the burn
I wait for the puzzle to break
With everything at stake
I give back your solved cube
It's a joy for me
I want you to see
How good I am at solving puzzles like us

Nice. :) The video and the poem captures I think the relationship between Eli and Oskar pretty well. ;)

Actually my intention was to explore how Eli would view Oskar, and how he would view himself through getting to know Oskar.. But sure :)

Wonderful! You put it before us very poetically: they are to each other like the puzzle of the Rubik's Cube. Each needs to be solved, in the sense of understanding the other, and in the sense of their future combined. Eli certainly is a mash-up of complexities. But befriending and saving Oskar is a challenge as well. How wonderful to think of their relationship as symbolized by this toy. It looks easy at first (Just as you might think "Oh, they're just children. What about them could be complicated?") but then you find the troubles run deep and you have to get into it in order to solve it. And in order to solve it, you have to fully understand it.

I forgot to mention the pacing. I likely would have rushed this - which would be wrong. The slow steadiness of the scenes with their displayed lines gives the message time to sink in.

Good ending as well. Lina looks so calm.
