I have to admit that I am gratified to see you eschewing the naturalistic view of vampirism and diving straight into the the mystical. It's also nice that you have them behaving just as two twelve years olds having fun.
Where are you my angel now?
Don't you see me crying?
And I know that you can't do it all,
But you can't say I'm not trying.

It is a beautiful way of showing how much Oskar really means to Eli.
Ajvide's reading tip for Tomas Alfredson - "Carmilla" by Sheridan LeFanu. "Tomas is, like me, severely uninterested in the vampire genre. But this one is basic education."

A pause. Then she gently withdrew; broke their kiss. She looked down and away from him, closing her eyes. He felt a tremor, a slight weakness, pass through her arms. A gust of wind blew some locks of her dark hair into her face, and he could not tell what she was thinking. Why had she—

. . . She doesn’t think she could ever be perfect.

He touched her face; turned her back to him. Saw the wetness and the emotion. But those eyes—so dark, ancient and forlorn—looked straight and unwaveringly into his.

This passage is beautifully written! For me, it really emphasizes the lonliness and despair that has been the bulk of Eli's life for over 200 years!
May this house be safe from tigers.

No, no -- no!!
I have a meeting in 15', and the knot in my throat won't go away. That was awesome.
In a gloomy empty land, with dreary hills ahead.

I don't know any word that could express my feelings about your writing...

I hope you'll never lost your inspiration so you can keep us entertained with qualitative, readable fan fictions. 8-) The tub scene really gladdens my heart, although, it's kind of bittersweet. However, I'm almost totally sure that the sequence is on its way... ;)
