surviving the pandemic
Re: surviving the pandemic
In a multi-part 'tweet' series, Vatsal explains the unusual means birds have as a breathing system. Plus, how they acquired it from dinosaurs and then in turn how the dinos acquired it from those before them.

Eli would not have been pondering any of this while sitting on his branch, five meters above where Virginia would eventually walk. But likely he used his light weight to navigate his fall towards her. I wonder in what ways his infection changed his breathing and his body. Was Eli so light, as Virginia noticed while struggling back up to her feet with him on her back, because of changes to his bone structure or simply in the thinning out of his body tissues and fat into that of a lean predator? Both?

BBC News: The orphaned baby squirrel eating video that went viral (1 Juli 2020)
https://www.bbc.com/news/av/newsbeat-53 ... went-viral
Zoologist Dani Connor's experiences with these baby squirrels is fun to watch! Video is just over a minute long.
Slight change of topic:
Were or Are squirrels a common pet in Sweden? They once were in the U.S. but this faded away over the 20th century.

Definite change of topic:
Hunger Games fans... do you notice what might be a reference in Dani Connor's photography to an event in the 74th Annual Hunger Games?

Yet another week's performance from the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain!
And here's the 1978 original:
I have since got my own (vinyl) record.

My sister had the record on which this song appeared, which I copied onto tape.

It is amazing how they are doing this, week after week, bringing such a grand quality of not just in their playing and and the video production but also the roles they take on and the creativity that goes into each performance. :seriously-impressed:
And thank you @metoo for updating us with their weekly drops and the extra links

A troupe of Knights has set themselves to the noble task of guarding their island, Gotland, from the coronavirus. Or at least spread word to all visitors on how to slow and prevent the virus' spread.

Here's a great site for checking out your property real estate values from millenniums past. As in going back millions of years.

Meet Erin, clearly a true data and truth seeker. He's has been doing a lengthy investigation on roundabouts. While he does not mention Elias in the blog article below, I could not help but sense finding Elias' home is Erin's (concealed) goal. I could be wrong; hey, it's happened . But Erin's likely well on to figuring out the riddle JAL left for us. Go Erin!

Distance to nearest pub seems promising.

Re: surviving the pandemic
I expected Don to post this here, but he didn't. So, here it is. Another example of how to survive the pandemic:
We never stop reading, although every book comes to an end, just as we never stop living, although death is certain. (Roberto Bolaño)
