I did the same thing with Denver, Colorado. I sat there thinking I was king, until I realized they share a 'd'.

Try again!

I thought I had it with Alaska but then I realized that the Alaskans had misspelled 'Juno' as 'Juneau.' They need to fix that. :D

Answers to question about combining state name abbreviations:
morningbrew.com wrote: 1. PANE = Pennsylvania + Nebraska
2. MANY = Massachusetts + New York
3. LAVA = Louisiana + Virginia
4. COAL = Colorado + Alabama
5. ARID = Arkansas + Idaho
6. WADE = Washington + Delaware

How about the inverse: The name of what state shares the most letters in common with the name of its state capitol?
Do multiples count? For instance: California and Sacramento both have an "a". In fact, both have two "a"s. Does this count as one or two?

OTOH, Nevada and Carson City both have an "a", but one of them has two "a"s. Does this count as one or two?
