Nosferatu Review

Post by gattoparde59 » Wed Oct 04, 2017 3:10 pm

Yup. Her again.

So sarcahhhhstic!

Actually if you can get by all the campyness she does make some interesting comparisons between this version and the many other versions of Dracula. The main point seems to be that this 1922 version was a protest against the senseless violence of the First World War. I really have no idea if she knows what she is talking about, but it makes sense. Also making sense is the xenophobia of the original novel and of various versions since.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

Very satisfactory. I both enjoyed it and learned a lot.
