Everything that serves to overcome the massive twilight trauma in Vampires genre is welcome to me.
Now the zombies are on the hype, but vamps allways come back, and there, LTROI is the king of kings. Even though I'm not really a big vampire's genre fan.
This will be my ranking, from what I read / watched:
1.LTROI (book / film)
2.Carmilla (book)
3. Salem's Lot (book)
4.Near Dark (80s film)
5.Buffy (nostalgia, preteen-teen favourite)
6.The Lost Boys (80s film)
7.Only Lovers Left Alive (film)
8.Bram Stroker's Dracula (film, never read the book so far)
9. John Carpenter's Vampires (90s film)
10.Fright Night (80s film)
So far, those I remeber, I have to read The Hunger and then watch the movie, also read and watch other classics, like Nosferatu, etc., I'm starting with Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles which btw is also in working for a tv series.
There also other movies Ive watched but they are mehs, like Dracula Untold and such.
