A Ghost Story for Christmas (BBC 1971 - 78)

These are a series of ghost stories for TV produced by the BBC. I'd never heard of them 'til recently. They're pretty good. So far I've watched A Warning to the Curious and The Stalls of Barchester. Hope you guys like 'em!

Terrific!

I see there are M.R. James (1862 -1936) stories in the set. I read once the collection "Ghost Stories of an Antiquary". DMt. suggested them to me. The story Number 13 is in there and so too is Whistle And I'll Come To You. I hope these presentations are faithful to the originals!

(The Kindle edition of "Ghost Stories of an Antiquary", which is what I have, is good in that is contains two of James' volumes. But it is a example of how shabbily a book can be moved to e-book format. The stories deserve an 'A' grade but the Kindle presentation is a 'D' at best.)

I suggest this edition: https://archive.org/stream/ghoststories ... 4/mode/2up Also, an audio rendition of Number 13, as done in 1975 by the BBC: https://archive.org/details/Number131975 (23.5 mins)
