Building a Go-Kart

Post by a_contemplative_life » Fri Apr 28, 2017 1:43 am

Will donate this one to the Salvation Army when it's done I think. I decided to use stains for this one instead of paint.

I like this stain; you get to see the fibers in the wood.

That wood is absolutely beautiful!

You have a master's touch with everything you do. 8-)

 Um . . . you can say that because you don't know about all my mistakes! But thanks anyways for compliment.

I like how the stripes on this are turning out. I wasn't sure whether putting them on the seat was a good idea or whether I should stain the seat black, but looking at the pieces coming together, I think I made the right decision. Now if I can just screw and glue everything together without messing it up...

What made you want to build a French go-kart? ;)

Is this made with pine? Then that would be blue, pine and red. ;)

Somehow I suspect this guy does not build with pine.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.
