Wintertime Hobbies
Re: Wintertime Hobbies
Each of these treasures is so special. I love the long hoods of the speedsters. My memory of looking at ads in archival magazines is the Stutz Bearcat with a longer hood than your 1931 model.
I've just looked at images, and I love all the versions through the years.

Wow! I remember buying those cars when I was a kid.
I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

Pre-Internet times, so I don't have a photo I can lay hands on. But this image is a dead ringer for my dark blue classic (except for the location of the steering wheel). The car overall was an extraordinary bit of engineering when Benz could still do engineering at that level.

Re: Wintertime Hobbies
That’s quite a handsome car. Is it costly to maintain an old Mercedes?
