Meanwhile in Sweden...

Swedish inventor Fredrik Hjelmquist said his CataCombo Sound System is the ideal gift for music lovers who do not want to rest in peace.
The coffin allows people to compile their own personal playlist before they die, which can then be streamed into their grave.

What songs would want to be piped into your casket?

Hmmm, I'm of two minds on what I'd like to eternally enjoy, being a music lover who does not want to rest in peace.

"Enjoy the Silence" ( get it? Muahahaha. Awesome song ) by Depeche Mode

"Hells Bells" by AC/DC ( ah, mood setting... )

I wonder if people walking past your grave will be able to hear it. Not sure if that would be creepy, annoying, or both.

It occurs to me that for folks known for great massages, beautiful blondes, and kind hospitality, Swedes can be a really creepy bunch. LOL I guess they have to do something to while away those long winter nights. As for music piped into a coffin, I suppose it's no stranger than having a dead body lying on cushions, wearing jewelry and expensive clothing. (Me, I'm going for direct cremation; we don't believe in fancy funerals in my family. )

As it happens, most Swedes (70% according to Wikipedia) are cremated after death, so this invention will most probably not be very successful here...

My idea of hell would be to have the same 40 songs played over and over for all eternity.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

So that's what Swedish death metal bands were invented for
It seems a harmless, but rather daft, idea. I hope that nobody ever hears the music being piped into their casket though. :?
