The king in yellow
Let the right one in
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
The goldfinch
I'll post some of my favorite books since i don't read as often, and I'd take for ever to write a recent list. Also there's alot of really good taste in these forums. Really been enjoying the fan fiction.

Haruki Murakami, "Cream." I'm a fan, but this short story was a bust. Much ado about nothing.

Reading The Queen's Tiara (Drottningens Juvelsmycke). Oskar found it while looking for a Christmas gift for Eli. (Er, that happens in a fan fiction.)

Some of the last books I read are
Middlesex (Jeffrey Eugenides)
The Ice Storm (Rick Moody)
South of the Border, West of the Sun (Haruki Murakami)
and LTROI
It was funny, when I read The Hobbit last year and then I watched LTROI again. Well, I've read Tolkien in the Credits before, but I didn't know where or when.

Done. One comes away enchanted by Azouras Lazuli Tintomara--just as did all who crossed his/her path in the novel. As for the writing, it has the complex plot and the attractive (or repulsive) characters of The Three Musketeers. Alas, however, Carl Jonas Love Almqvist is not Alexandre Dumas.

"It was a dark and stormy night..."
This isn't a book I have been reading but rather a string of web sites where I've had a good (and needed) laugh about writing. In this case bad writing. Including intentionally bad writing.
For example, open the 2011 Contest Winners link at
https://www.bulwer-lytton.com/winners
I had earlier arrived at bulwer-lytton.com from
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulwer-Ly ... on_Contest
which is because I was reading
https://getpocket.com/explore/item/how- ... fi-forever
(which is _not_ bad writing! but the reference near the top "(L’Engle’s first line winks at English novelist Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s infamous purple prose)" led me to explore
Cheers!
