Thought it was going to be a dud but it was a nice quiet comedy.

Okay. Out of place here, but watching Alabama @ Auburn in the Iron Bowl, for which life is but a metaphor.

An awesome movie, the colors explode on the screen. It has family, ancestry and finding out where you come from and the la idioma celestal.
To say the least, I loved it. The Olaf's Frozen Adventure short film was great (if you are 5 years old), and it was okay for everyone else.
It made a reference to St. Lucia's day, which I recognized from being this on site.

Godless. Pretty good Western mini-series on Netflix. Watch this and you will find yourself reminded of many old Westerns like Red River, Shane, The Guns of Fort Petticoat, My Darling Clementine, Calamity Jane etc. A seven part series so it does tend to meander through flashbacks and strange quirky stuff, but I didn't mind. :) Oh and the beautiful German painter who seems to think that clothing is optional. ;)

The last few bits of media I purchased recently would be the Batman Beyond Collection, which in turn was preceded by my eager purchase of the NBC Hannibal Complete Series box set quite a while ago! Was a fan of the former since childhood and a fan of the latter since I caught wind of it back in early 2014.

As for the last films I really sat down and watched...that would be Let the Right One In, Beetlejuice, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and (a special favorite) The Godfather Part II. The first one needs no introduction, and I suspect most everyone here has seen a Tim Burton flick or two in their time (for those unfamiliar, it's about a married couple who dies and attempts to ghost-spook out unwanted house guests). Days of Future Past is one of the high marks for superhero films in terms of drama and action as well as gorgeous cinematography, and Part II is of course just a plan classic in every way (and it has that tragedy element to it I'm sure we all can appreciate), particularly for Al Pacino's towering performance of Michael Corleone at the height of his power and the lowest low of his soul.

Star War, the Last Jedi. My spider senses told me not to see this movie, and I was right.

Happy- mini series on Syfy. Some nasty parts in this, not nasty in a good way either. Other parts I found to be really funny such as the chat with Mrs Claus at the North Pole stripper bar. I found the last episode I saw disappointing but maybe that was just me.

Not a film, or a mini series, but it might be out on DVD ... eventually, maybe.

It's a light Korean drama with some humour and some touching scenes ... and I'm hooked
