Last DVD/Movie you bought or watched?

Post by danielma » Thu Oct 07, 2010 8:46 pm

Pretty simple thread really...name the last Movie/DVD you bought or watched

I'll start off

Last watched

Buried - Ryan Reynolds in a box for 90 mins...literally. Actually I kind of enjoyed the film to be honest...very Hitchcock in nature, it managed to grab me and never let me go from its vice like grip. I really enjoyed this to be honest, for what is such a high concept movie I thought they pulled it off rather well.

A great twist on William Castle's Macabre.

My last bought movie was Jeunet's Delicatessen on BluRay and the next one will be the Alien tetralogy on BR.

Ride with the Devil. A strange film that goes all over the place. I liked the ending with Spiderman and Jewel.

I'll break open the story and tell you what is there. Then, like the others that have fallen out onto the sand, I will finish with it, and the wind will take it away.

The last film I saw was Buried same as danielma. I thought that it was well done considering the limitations imposed with the concept, personally I liked the 'trouser snake' ;)

Last watched was The Hurt Locker (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0887912/) which I rented Saturday.
Last bought was a two DVD's for 99 SEK (about $14) deal where I got Taken (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501/) and Defiance (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1034303/). This was about 6 weeks ago and I have since watched both.

Last bought, was... Cronos, I believe... yes, that was the one that officially killed my wallet for a bit. Several things have, but that was the last DVD to have the honor so far.

Last watched was Boy. Lovely film. Hilarious and touching. And nostalgic, in ways.

Last movie I watched was A Perfect Getaway. It's a "twist" movie, so you know the ending is going to be preposterous, but I liked this one better than most because it just didn't take itself seriously. Decent entertainment for a Friday night.

Last DVD I bought was Der Untergang, and I'm thinking of plonking down the cash for the Special Edition.
